In the 229 image, you have interference lines across the view from the trolling motor or from your trim motor.
In the green pallet, it looks like your transducer is not level from side to side.

Have you got a friend close by you could slip your head on his transducer.
looks like a transducer or wire or connection prob.   Gary

Seems odd that the interference looking line is on the left side of image 229...but not on the left side of image 231....

Almost like some other electronic was running at the time you took the 229 image....Aerator, bilge pump, DF, TM, lights, ignition key left on,  ??

The interference on the left might be from me hitting the trim to raise the motor.
My big problem is all the interference on the right side.
everything on the boat was shut down

Terry,
any chance that the right side of the transducer is covered by grease, slime, algae or something like that?

Regards / Harry

Thanks Harry
that might be the problem I will clean the transducer before I return to the water.
Ich arbite bi Bosch.
That is a bad try at what I could speak at one time.
Worked in Germany several times before retiring from Bosch.

I 've had this problem with mine also.  It seems to come and go at times.  I turned my contrast down which seemed to help some.  Will be interested in learning what is causing the issue.

Good to know Terry, haha.
I work with Bosch equipment (radio) and I hope we will get new stuff next year. The Bosch radios are undestroyable, but too big and too heavy compared to the modern handheld radios.

A special thanks to Blackwaterkatz.
I found Blackwaterkatz on the map & contacted him
he put my unit on his boat & identified my problem
as the unit & not the transducer.
Now to get the unit back to Humminbird
Robert thank you for the forum member map
as I was able to find someone in my area with
a unit that would help me
Terry

Terry, glad you have identified the problem. Sorry it will have to be returned for repair.
The map pin for members does have its good usage and I posted a new topic just to readdress an old need for members letting others know where they are.
This form is a community and we are really all neighbors on the information highway.
Let us know when you are back on the water and operational.

Sounds like you may have a resolution, Terry.  I hope to hear some good news really soon.  It was great to meet up with you on Friday, but wish it hadn't been so cold and windy so we could have spent some more time on the water.  A couple of hours after you left, I'd had enough!

Sorry it took so long to reply.
Humminbird repaired my unit verry quickly but I just got my
boat out of the repair shop yesterday.
As you can see the cloudy area on the right side of the screen is gone.
THANK YOU HUMMINBIRD
Terry

It does look much better, Terry.  Glad you are satisfied.  I just got your phone message a few minutes ago.  Thanks.  I was on the upper end of Santee River today and had poor reception in some areas, and my cell phone battery died on top of that.  Best of luck with the sonar.  I think you will be ok, now
