Title: Download Failure when trying to save way-point from 787 to SD card

When trying to save way-point to SD from 787 I get an download failure. I Used the instructions from this forum to try this. Can someone help me out? I have a 4Gig SD card, is that to big?

Which model “787” unit is this (we have made several different ones) and what is the software version?
It could be that the unit will not accept an SDHC type memory card, so you should try a smaller SD or MMC type memory card (less than 2GB in size).  Be sure and format the memory card before trying.

787 c 2    and I don't know what version it is I guess what ever came in it? How do I tell ?? What do I need to do to format the card?

I would confirm the software version in your 787c2 unit first.  If it is version 3.240 or lower that SDHC card you have will not work properly and you would have to end up getting a smaller capacity SD version memory card.  To check your software, follow the directions posted here:

Update the software in your unit and you may be able to use that larger 4GB SDHC memory card in your 787c2 unit.
