SI Recording files. Where can I find some.
« on: January 11, 2012, 10:30:14 PM »
I just got my HB  unit.  However my boat is not ready for the water. I would like to run some SI recording files on my PC so that I can become familiar with how underwater objects and fish look.
Can some one please be kind enough to point me in the right direction where I can download some SI recording files? Not just pictures but actual recordings of some runs. I tried to search the site but did not find any. Did find a post saying some members may have their own sites where they upload their own recording files. If such exists I would be interested in finding those sites where I could download some HB SI Recordings. Note (When I say recordings I not talking about screen pictures but the actual 15 to 30 minutes or more recording using the Side Imaging)

Thank you in advanced.

I found a way to share big files.
Here is a link: www.transferbigfiles.com

If anyone has recording files they would like to share please upload to the link above then post the link in this post of the location of the files.

Thank you

Are there other options on how to make available big files? that does not involve paying for the service?

Transferbigfiles for a single send is free. Or was the last time I sent a big file..
The internet provider restriction on file size is there to prevent people freom tying up the band width with large data files.
I dont know how else to get around this..

Regarding other online file-sharing services:

I use www.DropBox.com to store & exchange sonar files with others on the internet. It is a free service, and you can configure both public and private folder that is shared with only the people you invite via email. (Also, ...you do not need to install the DropBox application on your computer, if you prefer to keep your computer clean. Instead, sign up for a free account, and just log on to use their web-based interface.)
