Sorry for the delay.

Are you asking about downloading the files from your SD card to your computer?

Basically, you need to copy the entire RECORD folder from your SD card.   Each .dat file has an associated folder and that folder has the associated .idx and .son files.  So if you want to copy a recording from the RECORD folder, you must copy the R00***.dat and the entire R00*** folder and its contents.  The .idx and .son must stay in the folder.

If this does not help, I will need to know more.
Is this the first time using HBSI converter?
What version firmware was installed whne you recorded the file?
Can you see all the associated files with the .dat? IE. if R00001.dat, you should have an R0001 folder and in it you should have .idx and .son file B001 thru B003.  You may have a B000 if you have the 83khz on.

Inshorecatch,

OK, I got your files and they converted fine.  Here is a screenshot of the recording in YellowFin.

The easiest way to transfer the files from your SD card is to Right Click on the RECORD folder in the main directory of the SD card.  You should see a menu pop up and then click on COPY.  Then navigate to your My Documents or where ever you want to save the files.  Right Click again in a white area (not on a file or folder) and then click PASTE.  All the files in your RECORD folder will transfer over to your computer.

Good Luck,

Robert

ok  Robert I have put them on the computer already.
( then chose the first file and hit open .dat file and it tells me there is no son. file. need help do I have to convert .dat file to .son file then download. no instructions in the book on how to download recordings)
so this is my problem, I tried to click on the folder that contain the son files but HBSI say there are not dat files and when I click on the dat file itself it tells me there are no son file to convert. so how do I go about it.
this was supposed to be a recording of about 5 to 7 minutes did I just get a snapshot, still learning on how to use

Hi
If you have a recording file called R00001.dat you should have a directory called R00001. Do you have that ?
If yes, then open that directory in a file explorer and check that you have (at least) the following files: B001.idx, B001.son, B002.idx, B002.son, B003.idx and B003.son. Do you have that ?

If you don't have these files it will not work.

The only other thing I could do is set up a remote desktop connection and walk you through it!
