Are software downloads in a Vcl file format
« on: January 23, 2013, 06:45:44 PM »
I just tried to download a software update and it is in a Vcl file format.  Vcl is a video file program.  That cannot be correct can it?  It did not give me an option to save to the sd card.  Any help would be appreciated.

No, the software update files should be in a *.bin file extension type.  Be sure that it is not just your computer trying to use some type of video file viewer.  You should be able to select to save the software file to wherever you want to on your computer (including a connected memory card).
