Found a new spot
« on: March 14, 2014, 10:24:14 PM »
Was working on a ReefMasters map and this is what I found in one of the recordings. Last weekend after I took a mess of crappie I figured I would make some recordings before heading home. I pulled up the map view and went to another area of the lake and started making passes (never looked at SI or 2D). After 4-5 recordings I loaded up.

As I was watching it tonight in RM I saw this and went over to HumViewer and pulled these shots.

The time on the second shot is off but you can see here it was on the same clip. Just had to drag it farther along to fill the screen. This is the same type of area I was catching them earlier in the day. Was using a 20-24 count and slowly bringing the jig back or using the 859 on the bow to jig straight down. If they are still there I'll try it again and not as far of a run up the lake.

Slabbbacks, you are a maestro on the HumViewer.  But I think you need help with the jig work.  I can be there with a few hours notice! ;D

;D  Bud their's guys on here that know way more than me, what I can say is with the help of HV I've taken more fish.  When I don't have anything going on I'll hook the PC up to the flat screen and watch my recordings.  Can't even begin to explain what you can see on that flat screen that you didn't notice on the water.  I just find areas that look good for holding Crappie...put in a waypoint in HV and go into Google Earth.  These new spots are loaded into the unit and I hit them next time out.

These are three shots from my last three times out on spots found while watching HV.

saves time scouting while on the water and more time to fish. ;)
