Topic: GPS Question when to drop the MArker??

hey guys quick question when i mark something like a rock pile and then double back to it when should i drop a marker bouye in the water when the tip of the boat on the gps touches the marked point ?? or when the whole boat is covering the marked point?? or when i start seeing returns of the rock pile on the unit when you do split screen gps and 2D sonar?? my unit is installed in the counsle and it is an internal antena.  thanks in advance

PS i also have a side imaging installed on the trolling motor anyone know of a trick you can do to keep the trolling motor straight when you take your foot of it. it always ends up spinning around to one side or the other sometimes it behaves and stayes straight even if my foot is off from it but rarely thanks again

     Unfortunately it's not as simple as you would think. Read all three parts. Adam is a former HB employee and gives
     the best explanation I've seen of this concept.
