Title: YellowFin

Is there a way to export a waypoint  or drawn marks from this program?  In humviewer it is easy to draw user tracks and place waypoints that can be saved and exported but I don't see that function in yellowfin.

Bob, I dont seem to recall a way to make that happen.
Remember that YellowFin company wrote the viewer for their products. Kind of what other manufactures have done.
A third party developer then wrote a program to convert the HB output to the format of YellowFin. YellowFin does not recognize the third party efforts and does not support the converter.
From what I have seen and used in Yellowfin is the viewer of the record for the sonar. A couple of other small tools are helpful in the view but waypoints dont seem to be in the picture.
A couple of other users here are using the converter and the viewer so they may be able to also post something.
Humviewer is a great program and does have good functions.
So maybe between the two you will get the best of both worlds.

I blundered through creating a waypoint in YF and it goes something like this ... You need to be running the v2.011 update ( YellowFin side-scan sonar Model 872 only Update to V2.011 (end 2008) (http://www.metaldec.nl/eng/downloads.html) ~ yellowfin_update_to_v2.011.zip (http://www.metaldec.nl/downloads/yellowfin_update_to_v2.011.zip) ).

Enable Event Input needs to be checked in the Events menu ...

Double click on the area of the display where you want the waypoint placed and enter an annotation ...

=> (http://limbatus.net/linked/sis-yf-02-tm.jpg) (http://limbatus.net/linked/sis-yf-02.jpg)

The entries are stored in a file with the same name as the "playback" file with an *.an extension ...
