Hi All.  New to forum but looks extremely helpful. Just bought Helix 5 SI and it came with the transom mount transducer.  Chart says a different model for trolling motor where I am going to use.  Is only difference mounting hardware or is it a shielding issue also?  I am a little paranoid about interference so will take all steps necessary (hopefully) to prevent but this could be the first???  Will be ordering the transducer saver bracket spoke of within forum so if only difference is mounting bracket then wont trade.  This question may have been answered many times already but cant find so if if it has,  sorry!  Thanks for the help and I am sure this wont be my first question as this is my first SI unit but looking forward to learning.  Thanks again.  Joe

The Helix SI is shipped with the XNT 9 SI 180 T (Compact SI) transom mount ...

It can be traded (unopened package) in HB's xducer exchange program for the XTM 9 SI 180 T (Compact SI) trolling motor mount ... It has extra shielding for possible RFI/EFI issues ...

You also have the option (thru HB's xducer exchange program) ... To upgrade to the XHS 9 HDSI 180 T ...which has longer SI piezoes that can garner somewhat sharper SI images ...

You also have the option (thru HB's xducer exchange program) ... To upgrade to the XTM 9 HDSI 180 T ... Which is the exact same xducer as the XHS 9 HDSI 180 T ... But comes with a hose clamp type attachment bracket instead of a transom style mounting bracket ...

The XHS 9 HDSI 180 T and the XTM 9 HDSI 180 T both have the same shielding for RFI/EFI ...
