Topic: 597ci hd di combo no 455hz or temp

i recently got a 597ci hd di combo for christmass. ive been messing around with it in simulator mode for a couple weeks now since its to cold to fish in new hampshire. one thing i noticed is that when in simulator mode it wont show anything in 455hz sonar. split or normal mode. i also noticed that my temp has disapered unless i activate the option on the bottom of the screen. just for shits and giggles i connected the transducer to it and ran it in normal mode and still couldnt get the 455hz to read. i have registered it with humminbird and tried to download the latest software but it says it is current. whats up? did i get one of the several i have read about that has issues? i have reset the factory default several times...

What transducer is selected in the menu?

i can not find the transducer selection tab in the menu. are you sure its an option on this unit?upspby

got ane-mail back from humminbird today and they said something wasnt right and it should show temp and 455hz in sim mod. i called and talked to some lady and she said they wont work in sim mod so i plugged the transducer in and they work. guess all is well...
