597 hd di / Dr Depth
« on: July 15, 2012, 01:04:59 PM »
Hi

Im confused !

Can I use Dr Depth software to build maps from tracks saved on the unit including depth information?

The Dr Depth website says it can only be done from series 7 upwards, but it also says you can only make maps for lowrance units and from reading info on this site it obviously caters for humminbird users also.

Any help appreciated.

Rich

If you have a SD card slot and can record your data on it you should be fine.

Hi Rich

You must import and convert the .son files.

Many thanks Rüdiger

When you say import them do you mean import them into Dr Depth or some other software first?  If so whats the other software?

Thanks again

Hi Rich

When you start DrDepth you get the option File Import/Convert, use this.
