First pics with 798
« on: December 17, 2010, 10:47:22 AM »
My first pics with my new 798ci...hope they look ok.  Any advice on the pics would be appreciated.
I am still trying to locate fish along the bottom as this seems to be the most difficult part of SI but I am blown away by the detailed imagery of the bottom!

I usually run the sensitivity at 12 due to the soft bottom (lower for harder bottom) and the scroll speed at 3 or 4 which generally coincides with the speed of the boat.  Hope this helps...

Welcome aboard Fishin!

Try to put the sensitive on "auto". Sometimes your device knows the best!  And I believe you could use less or no sharpness at all. It makes softer and more "realistic" pictures.  Try to put speedsettings at
level 6, if cruisingseed is 4-6 knots.
