Title: Is the Onix Ready for Prime Time?
Post by: snooktarpon on August 20, 2015, 10:20:39 PM
It seems ever since the Onix was released, people are having problems with it, mainly software issues. I understand that is is pretty much the status quo with today's technology. So with the latest software, is purchasing an Onix now a safe bet to have it work reliably? I don't have time to be another "beta tester" out in the field: submitting my issues to Humminbird tech support and patiently waiting for another software release to fix those issues.

The newer 2.300 is mostly stable for the Onix ...

There are still a few random bugs and an occasional single unit issue but nothing I would say should keep you from experiencing Onix ...
