Title: Finding fish under docks
Post by: n2olowe on March 08, 2011, 06:29:58 PM
Has anyone been able to locate fish under docks with their SI.  I know seeing one or two bass may be tough.  But I am hoping to be able to see schools of crappie when the begin to relate to the shallow docks.  Is this a reasonable expectation?

You should be able to see under the docks fine.  The edge of the dock may show up as a line, but you should be able to distinguish fish under or around it.

I dont have any images, but if you have some you think may have some fish in it, post it here and we can check them out and see if we can help.

Ill be out tomorrow, I know the crappie are under the docks Ill be around. So if I can figure out how to save the image, Ill post it up tomorrow. Still waiting on my manual and all. The online manual keeps freezing on me for some reason so I gave it up.

Thanks tarpon fly.  If you insert an sd image into you unit it will save a picture when you mark a waypoint.

So when I scan under the dock, just make a way point, and it will save the image I am seeing as well?

Only if you have snapshots enabled in the accessories tab.  It will not take a snapshot when you are recording.
