Title: Uploading and downloading waypoints 1197 vs 997 in the same format?

Do both units upload and download the waypoints in the same format on the sd cards. Some offline PC naviagation software say they only work with the 997 unit not the 1197. Seems that HB would be in the same format for both and it shouldn't matter.

Thanks for your answer....Fugawi reworked the Navplanner2, which works on the 797 and 997 units. Now that you have answered that, which is the one they posed to me, I can now preplot search patterns quickly offline and upload them without purchasing and expensive program.
