698 SI surface clutter

Having the same problem with my 698 SI. It didn't have a problem the first couple times out but is doing it now. Motor on/off trimmed up/dn doesn't matter. Different water didn't change. I noticed yesterday that it has 2 distinct lines on right side now. Unit is only 2 wks old. Transducer problem?

Try using photobucket for posting pix ...

And pix of your xducer install would be beneficial ...

It's picking up the Outboard mount and the toon on the other side ...

The SI beams reach all the way up to the water's surface left and right ...

You can verify this by removing the xducer and sticking it farther down in the water on a stick or pole of some sort ...

Pontoon installations benefit from dual SI xducer setups with the AS SILR Y cable ...
