Title: Can all transducder frequencies be turned off, but GPS on?

I was reading the post about noise caused by the tranducer.

I just got my 1197 and don't know much about operating it yet.  Was wondering if all transducer frequencies could be turned off to "sneak" up on a waypoint with
GPS only?

Thought I'd better start a new post instead of Hijacking that one.

You can just disable the sonar. Press Menue button twice, you will find it easily in the settings.
