Lastly I need to know if
« on: October 22, 2012, 01:36:19 PM »
I will be buying another flash drive for the unit to store info and record images. What do users recommend for the memory card? And can I take information from the memory card and convert into something I can see and post on the internet like JPEG files?

Brand name SanDisk is good.  Price wise the 2,4, 6 Gig cards are great and hold a lot of info.  Depends on what you want to put on the cards...

Taking snapshots is easy and in a format you can view with almost any PC viewer. Posting the snapshot is simple. Viewing recordings takes a program like Humviewer and that allows you to make a picture of the screen you are viewing..

I would add that if you are going to be doing sonar recordings that you buy one of the SanDisk memory cards that has a fast read/write speed like their Ultra 2 or Extreme 3 memory cards.

The Screen Snapshots will be in a *.png format.  Many web sites allow you to post *.png pictures.  If needed you can use many different picture viewing programs to convert them to the *.jpg or *.jpeg format.
