Title: Solix 10 nmea 0183 y cable connections to DSC vhf radio

My 1198 unit had 2 wires to hook up to radio. New solix 10 nmea 0183 cable has several. Radio instructions say NMEA out negative to black radio wire and nmea out positive to red radio wire. I called humminbird tech service and it appears they readily didn't know how to make connections and referred me to nmea cable install instructions. After some discussions I was told to connect nmea orange wire (transmit a+) to radio red wire and blue (transmit b-) to radio black wire.
Unfortunately, it didn't work. Any suggestions please.

I have no experience with this one  ...

Thanks Humminbird Tech service for working on these fix. Correct wire connections are;
nmea cable orange positive out to red radio wire.
nmea blue & black (white tracer) negative out to black radio wire
nmea yellow,brown and black(drain wire) tied together.
