Was wondering if anybody else had a problem with their lakemaster chip not locking into the sd slot correctly. Was running the lake and maps would not reload after changing the screen. Opened the slot and put it back in and out several times to get it to work. Not sure but wondering if some of the stickers on the lakemaster card with the Ser# may be causing it to not lock in properly. My memory chips works just fine in either slot but the lakemaster doesn't feel like it's locking in and my unit either will not load maps or they go in and out after changing screens or zooming in.

I'm not sure about the 1199 but I helped a guy with a similar problem in a 859ci HD DI...

Closing the card slot door was popping the right card out of its slot every time the door was closed...no matter how I configured the door...it would not close without popping the right card out of its slot...

We ended up using the door to push the card into the slot as the door was being closed into it's locking position...(while not exactly right...the 859 issue is not really a warranty deal...just aggrivating)...

If your unit is still under warranty... You should call HB as there may be an issue with the card slot retention mechanism in your unit...and that should be covered under warranty)...

Ya that is kind of what I was afraid of. Thanks for the help! I was hoping it was just the card.

You can try another SD Card in the slot to see if there seems to be any difference in the way the card retention mechanism acts...

You can also try the Lakemaster card in the other slot to see if the retention mechanism for that slot acts the same ...(the map card will operate in either slot if the "Card Select" menu under the Chart tab is set to "Auto")...

You stated that your memory chips work fine in either slot so my money is on the sticker(s) on the LakeMaster card.  I had a problem with a memory card getting stuck in a unit one day due to sticker that I put on it.  Got it out but had to pick the bits of sticker out that it left behind.

Call Humminbird to see what they say.

I think it is the sticker with the serial number lakemaster places on the card. I'll just live with this one or peel it off if it keeps doing it
