HumViewer Subrecordings - Beam Selection?
« on: October 27, 2010, 04:00:42 AM »
Hi,
I have a question concerning the subrecordings in HumViewer.
When I make a subrecording HumViewer is just exporting one side of the sideimaging beams. When I then load it into Drdepth to make a mosaic its just mapping one side and additionally this is flipped over. For example it just exports the port beam, but flips it over as it was the star beam in DrDepth.

Now I'm wondering if there is an option somewhere in Humviewer to choose the left or right beam or both. Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks in advance.

Did you get an error when trying to re-import the file into humviewer or if you checked 'open new sub recording' ?

I have this problem also. When I open the sub-recording, I can view only the port side of the SI. I cannot view the starboard side as it is not listed in the 'view' options (as in Humviewer does not have it available).

Can anyone help?

Keith

Look at thr record on your computer.
Make sure that you have in the record a B002.son and a B003.son.....Also there shold be a B002.idx and a B003.idx.
Those are the left and right transducers elements...

OK, those are the files that HB makes for recordings.  They have to do with beam and gps...Look at your b002 and b003 and make sure the recording size is the same...
Martin may have to weigh in on this as he wrote the program.
Rgecy may also have some insite..
If the B000 records are there then the base data is available....I am not sure of the subrecording formats.

Is Martin aware of this problem? I see it has not yet been addressed...
