Title: 3D PLUS SONAR
Post by: al. river on February 16, 2014, 10:51:09 AM: THERE IS NOT ALOT OF TALK ABOUT THE 3D PLUS SONAR . THE ONLY INFORMATION I FOUND IS THAT YOU CAN VIEW IN 3D OR 2D SONAR SIDE BY SIDE. VIEW ALL 6 BEAMS AT THE SAME TIME. ROTATE VIEW IN ANY DIRECTION. CAN ANYONE TELL ME MORE ABOUT THIS ? IS 3D PLUS SONAR AVAILABLE FOR THE 899 UNITS.

HB lists this xducer for the 3d Plus Sonar

The models that are found when "searching" the HB website...come up as Legacy units...

Interestingly...the SHS 7W 3D xducer still shows as "In Stock" when clicking the "Add to Cart" button...

Post by: Humminbird_Greg on February 18, 2014, 09:54:42 AM: No, the 3D sonar is not available for the 899 units nor for any of our current line of units. The 3D units have not been made for years due to a decreased interest mostly due to the introduction of the Si sonar back in 2005.

What did you want to know about the 3D sonar?

I'm confused ...

Where are you finding the 898 says it has 3d chart view ...??

There is "Bird's Eye Chart View" ... Which is sort of 3d looking ...

3D chart view. i think i need an older transducer to make it work.

Post by: Bob B on January 28, 2016, 10:17:06 AM: The specification is talking about 3D chart view ...... This would be a mapping thing and wouldn't have anything to do with the sonar or transducer.

The only 3D sonar I have heard of is Lowrance's new 3D structure scan.
