As Biggs mentioned...the Snapshot feature has to be enabled under the "Accessories" tab in the main menu system...
Then, when the "Mark" button is pressed...a snapshot will be saved to an inserted SD Card...
At the same "Mark" button press, a waypoint at the GPS antenna's present position will be saved to the internal memory of the unit...
The snapshot can be verified by opening the "Snapshot and Recording" view to see the saved snapshots and recordings...(the Snapshot and Recording view must be made "Visable" under the "Views" tab in the main menu system...and the SD Card that the snapshot was saved to must be in the card slot ...because the unit "reads" snapshots and recordings directly from the SD Card)...
The waypoint created when the snapshot was taken can be verified under the "Navigation" tab in the main menu system under "Waypoints"...
Or the waypoint can be seen on any chart view....
Waypoints in the internal memory of the unit must be "Exported (also under the "Navigation" tab- then down to waypoints) to get them copied from the internal unit memory onto an inserted SD Card....
