Title: interlink!......when are they going to fix it ?

I see tons of problems reading about the interlink in various forums,mine is no different!,my 1197 is/was linked with a 998 and it just drives the 998 haywire!......unplug it! the 998 works fine'. any news from HB?........

Hi,
There was a guy on the Unofficial Humminbird Forum who had a 998 interlinked to a 957. He said he acquired interlink problems when he updated the 998 to 4.97. The interlink problems went away when he backed down to 4.88 on the 998. I have not heard anyone else associate interlink issues to the units hardware revision but you might give it a try.

What sort of problems are you having with your InterLink and 998 unit?
Are you running the latest software in both units?
The Humminbird Customer Resource folks may have some suggestions to try or possibly some beta software that might fix your issues; so give them a call at 1-800-633-1468.
