Nice........did you disable pinging to the di piezo or was it still active when you took the shots?

Di was active, yes divers work during 10 years on every summer about 5000hours of diving and they do a museum.
Other wreck have to be found arround but it is wood wreck not very deep (5 to 10m) and winter waves are great!

nice shoot
you use onix serie, do you see difference in side scan at 455 / 800 khz than a 1100 series ?
the difference may be the chirp in down imaging ?
now i'm working with humminbird and towfish in site of the 1809 brulôts battle, near Aix isle.
i beggin the archéological survey last year, 5 vessels found and many canons.
humminbird system it's great for sub marine archéology.

Yes better in deep water to see différence, on sallow water it is very goos to see fish with the ONIX on DI andSI too
No chirp for DI only for 2D!

for deeper targets it takes two things.  1) a large target and 2) a target that reflects a lot of signal. Like a metal cannon.... fish on the other hand are hard to see as they do contain a lot of air. although I have never had the chance to see a large shark or whale...  good pictures Nitro.  Deep water fishing, or somewhat shallower water is sometimes all about structure that attracts them. Look for the habitat or structure and there might be fish...     Chuck
