helix 9 si gps
« on: June 27, 2016, 10:03:46 AM »
Thanks for the add.  Recently purchased this spring.  I have moved transducer 4 times and still same problem.  I get false bottom reading.  i am in 8ft water and digital display says 19ft when in 2d i have 2 readings one at correct depth and one at 19ft. Think i tried everything but nothing seems to work.  Any suggestions would be appreciated. I am running the teansducer that came with unit should i upgrade to the hdsi.

Have you tried to go to switchfire clear and reduce the sensitivity?  If you are going to mostly in shallow water, sometimes setting the max depth to a number a little more than your actual depth will help also.....just remember it has been changed when you get into deeper water.

You probably have a hard bottom area.
