Two ducers via Y cable- which one data recorded on SD card?
« on: March 16, 2018, 03:32:53 PM »
Hi everyone. Which data will be record? How it works? As known there is new Di ducer, XM 14 20 MDI T and I think about map making with this stuff so I'm asking. Anybody can help?
I plan to ask in Autochart subforum, but I think here will be better.
Is Solix data working with Lakemaster Autochart Pro? Humviewer can't reed it and I'm confused because I'm targeting to Solix10 for mapping too, have those Lakemaster Autochart Pro.
Thanks in advance.

There are 2 Y cables for SOLIX  ...

*14 M SIDB Y cable splits off the 2d channel from the SOLIX xducer to get 2d data from a separate 2d xducer  ...

*14 M SILR Y cable splits off the left SI channel from the SOLIX xducer to get left SI from another MEGA xducer  ...

Which Y cable are you referring to  ...??
-----

The XM 14 20 MDI T is a CHIRP Dual spectrum 2d and CHIRP DI xducer  ... If this xducer is connected to SOLIX = the SOLIX becomes a CHIRP DI unit (with no SI)  ...
-----

SOLIX data will work in AutoChart Pro - but only for mapping capabilities - not for Sonar log viewing  ...

I think the ReefMaster product has SOLIX Sonar log viewing capabilities  ...

Great knowledge! Thank You very much.
I thought that no difference between Y cable- I'm recognize  knowledge about Solix, and my questions  sometimes are imprecise.

Look at this  variant *14 M SIDB Y cable splits off the 2d channel from the SOLIX xducer to get 2d data from a separate 2d xducer -
Can I record 2d from this add ducer? Can I record data from MEGA ducer paralelly or like multiple channels id data folder ?

What I need to use ducers : Mega SI, Mega DI and 2d Low chirp ducer- Airmar on my boat and switch between? One unit Solix. Is that possible?

Why I' m asked about Solix and  AC software ? Live Autochart is great feature, but sometimes depth data needs postedition before map creating. When bottom is soft, depth line created by AC  is below true bottom line under 2-5 ft. After last update AC can correcting wrong data in semi-automatic mode and it works great. Without viewing Solix data  in AC I can correct it in RM but it is not easy and only manual draw way. After this I export RM data as .csv an using this data in AC. I'm must check what about bottom hardness data- loosing it as .csv format or not

The 14 M SIDB Y cable disconnects the wire going to the 2d piezo in the MEGA xducer and connects in its place the wire going to the 2d piezo in the separate xducer = 2d data will always come from the separate 2d piezo  ... Therefore AutoChart Live data would always come from the separate 2d xducer using the 14 M SIDB Y cable  ...
-----

It's not possible to connect the MEGA xducer, the MDI xducer and the separate 2d xducer at the same time with 1 SOLIX unit  ... You would have to disconnect MEGA xducer and connect the other MDI xducer  ...
