GPS module questions
« on: October 21, 2016, 02:45:41 PM »
My system consists of 2 798HDciSI, interlink and a AS GPS module with both units mounted in dash/bow.

They both have internal GPS, but do they use the external GPS module? How to tell?

Would it be possible to upgrade to AS GPS HS?

Go under the Views tab and make the GPS Diagnostic view visible ...

Then exit out of the menus and cycle thru the Views tab until you see the GPS Diagnostic view displayed ...

It should tell on that view which GPS is being used ...

Yes the 798 can use the AS GPS HS with 6.570 software or higher ...
