SI HD transducer boot -up update
« on: July 25, 2016, 12:38:43 AM »
Hey guys, I must be an  idiot. I told you guys in a another post  about how my 1199SI with 2 Hd SI transducers and the Dual beam would not  boot -up unless I had the compact transducer selected. Well guess what dumb ass Jeff did?  I had the correct cabling but for some stupid reason my 899SI cord that allows and separate speed/temp plug, was connected  to my 1199Si on the transducer cable. I removed the 899's transducer /temp speed split cord from the 1199Si and plugged the correct SI cord into the 1199SI with the  dual beam connected correctly....VOILA...it boots up just fine with HI-Definition transducer selected.......does anybody need or want an brand new SILR Y cable Dual cord for splitting the SI imaging transducers and running dual BEAM 83/200......i WILL SELL YOU A BRAND NEW  SILR Y cable for SAY 20 BUCKS AND I PAY THE FREIGHT. I paid 30.....

The side imaging with 2 HD SI  transducers is something  to marvel at Rickie.....absolutely no side interference and just out of this world imaging just like in Humminbird's  advertisement pictures. I highly recommend this 3 transducer set-up.

Give me some time guys, I'm heading to Council Bluffs, Iowa via Macomb, IL this week on business but  I haven't forgot about your pictures on my set-up.  ...Sadly, my boat is at the marine mechanic because I have an ongoing  problem with my outboard  engine which has been giving me fits...They thought it was carbs but I made the mechanic go with me to the local boat launch and I put him at the tiller of my boat to show him I haven't  got mid range speed or rpms much past 10mph and giving it even more throttle it zooms to high speed. Then when you back off from high throttle  to low idle  the engine stays at 2000 rpm and won't adjust down to low idle unless you turn the engine off and restart. Weird.     My mechanic  has done everything possible with the carbs and finally declared I have a timing advance problem related to a electronic part  called a "timing trigger" and he will have to pull the flywheel to check out some timing advance electronic   "stuff".  . ...I have never done screen shots,  only route recording on my 1199SI as  I have saved to my  32 gig SD card. I have  some really cool routing stuff on LAc Seul, at Ear Falls, Ontario. I will get everybody  some fresh  images of my Michigan local lakes and you will be amazed on what I'm talking about.  I have no idea if you can pull a screen shot with all my recording of my routes of which  I will send into Navionics. I can identify rocks, boulders, fallen trees, drop off, sunken logs and growing weeds with ....... fish. Running a true non synthesized 83mhz beam on the 83/200 Dual beam transducer, I can split the screen and compare fish picked up on the  83mhz 2D transducer and compare how they look in the SI image 455mhz beams and the DI view.    9 days on walleye fish factory Lac Seul gives one a real good imaging interpretation experience when running HD SI on the 455mhz frequency.   I get my best images running the side beams at 60 feet to both sides.  Maybe when I get better at it I can extend it out a bit.
