I have a 898 at the bow I would like jigging mode up there also.

I got an email from Minn Kota stating the xxx8 units would have the new update in February, with the the exception of 7x8. That is projected in March.(It might be later with the software release past performance)

That would be great I do most of my jigging from the bow.

I have not been out to try it there is no open water around me.
I won't be out in the boat for a while. I will be out chasing tip up's the rest of the winter.

I know what you mean, I'll be jigging over top the 798 gone portable!
 

Got ONE last trip on Jan. 02 and the 1st over the side was almost 13lbs...
The new software seemed to work well and improve the 2D some.

I hope it fixed 2d some I love my birds but I wish the 2d was as better. Nice walleye by the way.
