no background map when zoomed in < 1000ft
« on: December 04, 2014, 07:51:12 AM »
In Chart menu:
Chart select: AUTO
Base Layer: AC
Overlay: AC or OFF (doesn't matter)
zoom level 250m or 1000ft

same settings but zoomed in more and I lose my background map

playing with my map settings:

Chart select: AUTO
Base Layer: DEFAULT
Overlay: AC

background map and depth map not in line.....

any solutions to my problems?

The AC basemaps here in Saskatchewan  are not very accurate...(not sure what they used as a background)
you can draw your own map background in GE save as kml and import
then in Ac select your own shoreline content

Thanks for you reply Dave but the shorelines are looking OK in Autochart on PC and also when my base layer is AC on my unit and zoom livel is above 1000ft but when I zoom in I lose the background, that' is strange....
who has autochart running on his 788 or 798? what are your settings for Chart select,Base Layer and Overlay?

I have the same unit 798 and autochart normal Canada and I do have the same behavior.

-depending the zoom i loose the lake shore lines,
-depending the soom I loose my depth lines,
-when i move my gps display my depth lines outside of the lake and later one it goes back nicely

I have all same issues as you have and so far have not found any solution. even on DEMO I see same issues

Similar issue here.

When I zoom in to a certain level (e.g. the zoom level I need to see my contour lines properly) I lose the shoreline and blue water on the lake from the Zerolines card. So to some degree, this makes AutoChart almost useless for remote lakes.

HUMMINBIRD - IS THERE ANYONE THERE WHO CAN ANSWER THIS QUESTION PLEASE?

found a solution on your unit. make sure to have the latest Firmware on the unit.

go to Chart menu, at the bottom you have overlay, change to 100% and base overlay choose AC i think by memory,

this will allow you to keep the Zero line SD card as backgroud when you zoom in
