Navionics Premium card- setting for preferred routes?
« on: February 14, 2011, 04:58:42 PM »
I purchased my 997 late last fall and only had a chance to use it one time.  I have a buddy with the same unit and his Navionics card has "preferred routes" and "Submerged powerlines" etc on his maps on Lake of the Woods.  Where about in the settings can I activate this feature.  I contacted Navionics and they said there must be something on my Humminbird that will enable mine to do the same.
Thanks for any help.

I just downloaded the lastest 5.23; thanks for the vidoes from this site.  It worked perfect.

Greg,

Welcome to the forum.  I would assume this would be in the Chart Level Detail in the Chart Menu.  Make sure you have set to ALL.

Here is a link to the Navionics Platinum Humminbird Manual.  It talks about some of the added features when using the Navionics Cards.

Hope that helps.

Yup, that was the fix.  Thanks for the advice and link.  I just purchased a Humminbird Ice 35 and I can use it's power source (while I'm indoors/winter) to power up  my 997 and familiarize myself more with it.  That is, until we lose the 4 feet of ice we have up here in MB.
