Another New Guy
« on: October 12, 2010, 02:36:59 PM »
I am so glad to find this site. I have been reading a lot of the post throughout this site as I ponder which unit to buy. I am a bass fisherman that does local tournament here in CT. I currently have a 787c I bought a couple years ago and now want to put SI on the boat. I cannot justify spending $2000 on the bigger units so I have been looking at the 798c SI Combo. I know the bigger screen size would be nice but I think I can manage for now with the 5". A question I do have on this unit is the SI able to be seen in full screen? I would think so but just wanna make sure. Again thanks for this site it is a great resource.

Welcome to the forum. Yes SI can be seen in full screen, also Right side or Left side only full screen .Or one of my favorite Screens is Side imaging-Down imaging and Sonar all on the
same Screen.Hope this helps  Gary :)

hi jazz4627
you can check all available views in manual which you can download from this site (Downloads section).

hi stillbear
I saw few screenshots with all SI,DI and sonar in one view but SI was displayed across on the bottom and DI and sonar were on the top next to each other (not like the default one with SI on one side and sonar and DI on the other, one below the other). can you do that on 798ci SI? if yes, how do you do that?

thx

Raf

Here is a very basic run through demo of my 798ci - I will do a much more detailed video this weekend maybe. But this will give you a good idea of what this unit can do. And looks like for that matter.
