I've recently been having issues with the GPS track on my old 998. It's an older unit....but it's basically only used for mapping now.
The problem is the track that displays doesn't show where I've actually gone, instead it basically shows point to point where it must have pinged last to where I am at that time?
I have the time interval set to 1 second....anything else to check or is it probably just shot?
thanks

I have recently started to upgrade my onboard electronics. I have acquired a new Solix 15 MSI G2 (for bow) and a used Solix 12 MSI G3 (for console). In process of wiring them up now with 10/2 ga wire. One set to run from bow to battery independent of a 2nd set from console to battery. First question, is the 10/2 ga wire adequate? Second question, will my 31 group starting battery be adequate for both graphs and on board pumps? I don't tournament fish anymore, so using live wells is kind of a mute point and the bilge pumps are as needed. As always I'm appreciative of your replies.

To see the hours on the unit make “Visible” the System Status view under the Views tab ...
Then exit out of the menus and cycle thru the Views until the System Status view displays ...

Can someone tell me how to breakdown the serial# on my older 997c NVB (8052105-0056)? Also I have lost my book on it, can I tell how many hours are on the unit? Thank you.

My old boat is rigged up with older Humminbird fish finders. I have a couple of old 899ci HD SI, I think. Two SD card slots. I have Autochart Pro and I have made a map of the 175 acre lake I fish. There are no map chips for this lake, Lakemaster, etc. It's time for a new troller and I want to be able to network with my fish finder and map program. The older i-Pilot link units will wire up with my fish finder using the dongles, ethernet cables and switches. I have all of that stuff already. The new MK Quest stuff is all Bluetooth and there is also a network plug on the motor head. All the new motors have the same plug on them. The guys at Cabela's couldn't tell me if they could be used together with my legacy 800 series units. I like the new brushless trollers, but I don't want to buy one unless I can network with my older stuff. Do I need to find an older i-Pilot link troller to be able to use my Zero Lines card and map? I want to be able to follow the 20 ft A-C contour around the lake without having to drive the motor.
