If I am reading this correctly, you first need to make a screen capture, then send it to a formatted SD card in the slot of your Bird. Then up load that to Humminbird PC.  Other wise if you are talking just screen shots, then send that to your SD card and upload to your PC and view through windows I think. Sorry I do have a 899 on the console but spend most of the time on the bow with the Helix. If I am not mistaken you push the cursor to the spot push/hold the mark and it will save a waypoint and a screen shot. IF I am wrong I am sure someone will correct my foggy brain. I do it and don't think of the steps.

Screenshots are enabled under the Accessories tab in the Main Menu System  ...

Then pushing the Mark button writes the screen capture directly to the SD card into a folder labeled SNAPSHOTS  ... (As well as creates a waypoint at the boat position)  ...

Snapshots are in PNG format which most any PC can open directly  ... There is an associated DAT file with each PNG file in the SNAPSHOTS folder on the SD card  ... This DAT file is only needed by the HB head unit to display the thumbnail of the ScreenShot on the Chart view when the cursor is placed on the waypoint  ...

HB recordings can only be viewed in the HB head unit  ...or in 3rd party software like Humviewer here  ...
