Hello, Long time lurker/reader, 1st post.  After doing tons of research, I just placed an order for a 999ci HD SI, I'm excited to join the humminbird family and hope to provide input and feedback to the 999 community for years to come!

That’s a nice unit you are getting.  Is it your first Humminbird and/or Side Imaging unit?

I've had many birds over the years, but this is my first SI unit... I've been holding out hope Humminbird would update the White data box issue and allow view changes on ALL screens, not just SI, but I guess I'll learn to live with it.  999 was the perfect fit for my fishing style...i'm excited!
