These are my first pics from my 999, I posted on TFF but no one has replied so thought I give you all a look. These were taken at Possum Kingdom Lake, at Scenic Point yesterday. There are several large marina's in this cove. These pics I believe were at the end of a wide maraina out near the center as you motor thru. If anyone wants to guess feel free as I have no idea what it is:

The odd looking echoes in the water column could possibly the ends of the floating dock floats ...
The SI beam will see these floating docks as "x distance away" from the xducer/centlerline of the SI image ...and if the ends of these floating docks are closer to the xducer than "the distance equal to the bottom depth" ... The ends of the floating dock echoes will be "painted" in the water column of the SI image ...
And because the 999 DI image is derived from the SI data ... The unit will "paint" these same floating dock echoes in the DI image as "x distance away" from the surface/top of the DI image ...

Thanks for the input, next time I go back to that area, I will try to get some more views of this, if I do and it looks easier to tell what it is, then I will post those pics too. Right now the weather has turned winter again here in north Texas, so it will probably be a couple of weeks before I get back out to the lake.

You are probably right I was only like 10 feet from that Marina and the water is 30 feet deep. Since I have no real idea how marina's are built, I believe you are right. I will try to get a better pic of that Chevy Nomad sometime in the future. Still lots of snow and ice here in North Texas so be a while yet before I get back to the lake. Thanks again

No Prob ... Not sure why my momma decided on that spelling ...

As you can see from the Range lines in the DI image ... I was scanning at about 10ft from the end of the floating dock ...
