Title: 997 and 788 ethernet possibilty?

I have searched many forums and have read many things ranging from yes to no which is why I am now posting here. I am familiar with the 898s and 858s bit neither of the two me.ruined. so my main question is can a guy Ethernet both units so that they can interchange way point information?

The 997 does NOT have ethernet capability but it does have interlink capability. I'm not sure which 788 unit you have but any of the 788 line can do interlink also. The 788 HD and 788 HD DI can do ethernet.
Interlink doesn't share as much and neither interlink or ethernet will share maps.
