Title: 598 and external GPS?

I record tracks and SI for creating lake maps with my 598ci HD SI and am concerned about the bimini cover (canvas with aluminum pipe framework) on my boat interfering with the GPS signals. Will a Humminbird external GPS, such as the AS GR16, work on my unit?

No Lou, the 500 series units, like your 598ci HD Si, cannot use an external GPS Receiver.
