Title: Unit memory size
Post by: Kokanee on March 23, 2013, 03:53:52 AM
Just got the new 598ci HD SI and would like to know how big the unit memory is? If the memory were hypothetically "full", how big of an SD card would be needed for a total download?

I dont know if they have realeased specific specs on the actual memory in the unit, other than the number of waypoints, etc you can store, but even if you maxed out waypoints, routes, and tracks, I would bet it would be less than a few mb.  Pretty much any card you have should do.  I think the smallest you can buy now days is 1 or 2 gb.

All electronics nowadays should have like 1 or 2gig built-in memory because it's so cheap now.. .
but yeah, I don't think the onboard memory is that much ...user memory anyways.
