I have the 997c and looking to put the high speed transducer in hull of boat and want to make sure I have the correct transducer and is their any other cables needed..

That will probably work but will not have the crisp definition that an external transducer will have.
Also this is not recommended for aluminimum boats.
When you install this puck make sure there are no air bubbles in the epoxy and you have a single layer hull.
clean the hull area to mount the transducer before epoxying innto place.

The SI-HSK comes with an XP-9-20-T transducer and a TS2-W Transducer Switch, so you can select which 2D sonar source you want to see on your 997 unit (inside-the-hull or HDSi transducers). It should have all the connections and cables that you need.
Surprised that you can still find one. Where are you getting this from?

I dont have the transducer yet seen a article that was talking about in hull transducers.. sound like a good idea are they hard to find??

They should be as we stopped making them back in 2008.
To get that same set-up you will have to purchase the individual transducer and switch separately:
XP-9-20-T inside-the-hull DualBeam transducer with temperature.
TS3 Transducer Switch
If you do not want to switch the 2D sonar from one transducer to the other than you could go a less expensive route and use the following:
XP-9-20 inside-the-hull transducer
AS-Si-DB-Y transducer splitter cable.

Can this XP-9-20-T inside-the-hull DualBeam transducer be used in a wood core boat and thanks this is the information I needed..

It cannot be used to send a sonar signal through the wood core. Now, if you were to take a fostner bit and drill through the inside layer of fiberglass and the wood core down to the raw fiberglass of the outside layer; then it would work. You would have to be very careful when doing so though.
I don’t know what type of boat you have but there are other transducer options that you may want to look at for the 2D sonar. We have the plastic or metal true Thru-Hull transducers, Flush Mount transducers, the standard Transom mount transducers and a Stick-On transducer.

Is their any inhull transducer that will work with wood core.. I have a 1997 27 Contender.. If not what is the best transom high speed 2D transducer and what cables are needed for SI and high speed 2D to work.. sorry for all the questions just want to get everything right..

A true drill a hole thru the hull is the only option. Wood being the material it is can have air spaces (small) and that is what interrupts the sonar signal.
For 2d display most of the non-si transducers will work as long as the spec sheet says it is for your model.
If you are using 2d for depth on plane then of course you will need a y-cable to split the two transducers.

Unless you drill out the wood as I indicated before; than your options are either a transom mount transducer, a true Thru-Hull transducer or a Stick-On transducer. Without seeing your boat and how it runs through the water I would guess that your best bet for high-speed depth readings would be the XNT-9-20 transducer and the AS-Si-DB-Y cable.
