Can someone upload a saved file?
« on: September 14, 2010, 04:56:54 AM »
I haven't got my SI unit yet but I want to have a play with the software here.  Is anyone able to upload a saved file from their sounder so I can see how it works?

I'm looking at getting a 798 unit so a file from that would be ideal, but I would be happy for any others.

Thanks

Let me understand.  You want someone to post their data online for the fishing world to see?

Where's your favorite fishing hole?  What do you use?  Can you share the coordinates for your 'secret' spots?  Uploading a saved file will show all my stuff.  Hmm - do we really want to go there?

Do you have a friend nearby who could share his on an SD card?

If you don't have a unit yet how would you view the file?

One of the upgrade features to this forum will be a place to share files. I am not sure when this will happen.
If you have someone willing to send you a file you can use www.transferbigfiles.com to send the data.
"Secret" holes will probably not be shared but there are files that can be used to learn products. Programs like humviewer and humview along with others can let a new user play with data until his unit arrives.
Also a friend with a unit can help if they are near by and you want to plan a trip for fishing and learning..

Hi Elvis

Next Friday I will (finally) test my unit with my fish.

I can share files with you, I donīt have problems with secret spots because you will not fish in Brazil. :)

Wait until Monday, one excellent way to transfer files is dropbox.com

Create one account with this link and I share one folder with you.
