Title: 997C SI BEST FISH FINDER SETTING

Hello all.

hello  is fish id and symbols good with these or is it better to use the fish arches ?
Can some body give me the setting they find best for spotting fish.

lugworm,

Sorry for taking so long to respond.  Its been a crazy weekend.

Fish ID is going to be one of those things you decide on weather or not YOU like it.  As for me, when I am fishing, and not paying much attention to the screen, I turn it on.  This way I am alerted.

If I am trolling or scanning for fish, and paying more attention to the screen, I usually have it off to keep the screen from getting cluttered.

Some other things to consider:
Switchfire on Max (in water deeper than 10 feet)
83khz ON.
Maybe bump up Fish ID Sensitivity and 83khz Sensitivity a notch or two
