Title: new bird 999 addition
Post by: cary on May 05, 2015, 08:26:22 PM
I just recieved 999 unit.  Going to move 798 to trolling motor and 999 on console...   MY question what transducer  are most people using on the trolling motor.  The HDSI that came with 999 can it be used on trolling motor and just add a transducer shield.    Or they just using down imaging and etherneting the SI to front unit
thanks

I find SI on the TM as an invaluable tool ...

Being that's where I spend 99% of my fishing day ...

How are you running the transducer wire on the trolling motor.  I have a foot control unit.  Can the transducer cable follow the trollingmotor steering cable all the back to foot control. Or does the transducer cable need to avoid the power head on trolling motor and the cable going from foot control to the power head...   Want it neat but no electrcal noise.
