Title: Gps receivers locations

I currently have my 898(bow) & 998(dash) interlinked with the gps receiver hooked up to the 998, but i have the gps receiver on the bow. Would it be better for me to use two receivers? Having the 998 gps receiver in the back by the 998  transom transducer and then have the 2nd gps receiver for the 898 at the bow by the trolling motor transducer? Also, am I able to do this and still interlink?

I moved the gps receivers close to the transducers and everything seems fine.
