Title: How to mount inside hull puck
Post by: fishbone on February 06, 2013, 04:43:14 PM
I'm moving my HB 998 SI to a fiberglass boat. The main transducer will be mounted on a jack plate, with an XP-9-20 transducer on the inside.

Is there a kit, or do I use an epoxy to fit it to the hull?

Also, will the main transducer on the jack plate provide a water temp reading?

thanks, Ron

Installation instructions come with that XP-9-20 transducer as does an epoxy packet.

Yes, the water temperature will come from the jack plate mounted HDSi transducer but you can also add an additional temperature sensor if you would like to.  The unit will display both temps and has separate alarms for these if you want.  Some use the second temperature sensor to monitor water temp in the livewell.
