Title: New to me 998C

  Well considering I just upgraded from a 15 year old fishfinder I am blown away to say the least. My unit is running software version 4.970 should I just leave it at that? I have only used the unit once and it worked great. I have a lot to learn about the si feature and this looks like the place to do it.

I would make sure everything works before you make a software upgade. There are some new features in the new software.

 Everything seems to work. Although the unit re-booted while I was recording the last trip out. I had been recording for a solid hour.
