Title: Navionics charts do NOT display depth information on 1197 SI

Hi there,

It is good to be back and see the forum growing. It looks really good.
I am using Navionics Gold chart  30XG  for the Middle east and Africa on 1197c SI (International version). The version of the charts is 1.20 and it comes on an SD card. Navionics web site says it is fully compatibale with my HB devise and I have set the chart menu on "All details". Despite all of this I can not see the depth of the sea bed on the chart. This is a very important piece of information for planing for both fishing and diving. Guys just to clear any confusion, I am asking about the charts depth info not the HB sounder depth which works beautifully.

Thani,

You will need to go to the Chart Menu, scroll down to Spot Soundings and change it to Visible.


Spot Soundings
Spot Soundings allows you to display or hide spot soundings, which are depth measurements shown on the chart.

NOTE: Spot Soundings are only available with optional-purchase MMC/SD cards.

To change the Spot Soundings setting:
1. Highlight Spot Soundings on the Chart main menu.
2. Use the LEFT or RIGHT 4-WAY Cursor Control keys to change the Spot Soundings setting. (Hidden, Visible, Default = Hidden)
