Title: Forum Contribution
Post by: sonar2000 on March 17, 2014, 12:59:41 PM
Something to think about:
I was looking at the number of members we have on this forum.  9000+.  I thought about this and decided to post this.
If each of us contributed $1.00 a year to Robert to help offset the cost of operating the forum it would be a nice Thank You to him. Not to say what that adds up to in money thereby offsetting his costs of providing the forum.
The forum is Robert's idea and while it is in support of Humminbird products, there is no dollar support from HB. Robert did this on his own and it has shown over the years what a great forum it is. Users have said before that this in the only forum they know of in which users communicate with each other and without squabble.   He has put a lot of effort and expense into helping make the products understandable and functionally operational.  Originally on his own, but more lately with the question/answers provided by great members.
I would ask each of us to look at the value received by us from this forum and consider some type of Thank You to Robert and helping to defray the costs.
PayPal is available but if you are not comfortable with this function you may contact Robert thru email or messaging. Check his profile for exactly how you wish to contact him.
Thanks also to all the folks who help make this forum the best by their support and information exchanged.
Chuck

I agree with you Chuck, which is why I joined up as a Charter Member. I'm quite new on here, but have already received more info than I could have ever purchased in "book form" anywhere else. Keeping in mind also that there are superior members on here that give you one on one help!!!! It would be very interesting to know just how many members use this site, and to what extent?

I'm going to use the site, I'm willing to help out, I don't want to see it go by the way side......

thanks for the support. there are some stats on the forum. If you select the forum tab at the top and then scroll to the bottom and select forum stats you will see some information.
I really like the way the folks on the forum interact with each other so much knowledge an so much help.
Roberts vision in 2009 was well ahead of what others were doing.
Thanks for your contribution(s).
Chuck
