Does any body know where you can find version release dates and what each update did for the units? I have a 898 v 6.60 and a 798ciSI v 6.30 and I would like to return them to an older software version. In my haste to update I forgot to write down the version I was running. I do not like the 6.60v it is putting things on the screen that I do not want like "COG" and it can not be removed.

Yes I did, however is that all of them? some listed does not list what they did. Looking for a little more input.

I have some of this information. I can try and find out what the original software for each of your units was at the date of manufacture. Send me a direct e-mail (not a pm) with your unit model and I will see if I can get this information for you.
The 898c Si units had software version 6.490 prior to the 6.600 software. It corrects the NMEA2K Quick View.
The 798ci Si units had software version 5.840 prior to the 6.300 software. It added the Waypoint Management menu system.
